1. Who is responsible

Reduzer Technologies Limited, operating as Reduzer Technologies Training Institute, is the data controller for the information covered by this notice.

2. Information we collect

The information depends on whether you are browsing the website, applying, paying tuition, sponsoring a student or taking part in the programme.

• Identity and contact details, including your name, email, phone number, age confirmation and usual study location.
• Application answers about education, work, availability, funding, learning habits and programme readiness.
• Technical-readiness information about your laptop, internet, power backup, camera, microphone and study space.
• Optional work samples, files and accessibility or support information that you choose to provide.
• Admission, payment, attendance, assessment, project, feedback, support and communication records if you enrol.
• Website and analytics information where you allow statistical cookies.

3. Why we use the information

• Review applications and manage admissions.
• Assess schedule, funding, technical and accessibility readiness.
• Conduct interviews, assessments and identity checks where required.
• Deliver the programme, provide support and track learning progress.
• Manage tuition, receipts, authorised sponsor updates and student records.
• Protect academic integrity, institute systems, students and staff.
• Improve the website, admissions process and programme operations.
• Meet legal, accounting and dispute-handling obligations.

We rely on the legal basis appropriate to the activity, including steps requested before a contract, performance of an enrolment agreement, legal obligations, legitimate interests and consent where consent is required. Optional marketing and testimonial use requires separate permission.

4. Form logic and admission decisions

The application form may route an applicant based on answers about age, availability or programme fit. The institute does not make a final admission decision solely through automated processing. Shortlisting and admission decisions include human review.

5. Service providers and storage outside Kenya

We use service providers for forms, hosting, email, communications, analytics, learning systems, payments and institute operations. They may process information only to provide services to the institute and must apply appropriate security and confidentiality controls.

Online applications are currently collected through Tally, which states that form data is stored in Europe. This means application information may be processed outside Kenya. We remain responsible for selecting providers and applying appropriate safeguards.

The institute does not sell applicant or student personal data.

6. Retention

We keep information only for a defined operational, legal or programme-related reason:

• Unsuccessful or incomplete applications and optional work samples: up to 12 months after the relevant cohort starts.
• General admissions communication where no application is completed: up to 24 months after the last contact.
• Enrolment, learning and completion records: up to seven years after the student leaves the programme.
• Payment and accounting records: seven years, or longer where Kenyan law requires it.
• Accessibility, health or support information: only while it is needed for admissions or support, then securely deleted or reduced to the minimum record that must be retained.

A legal claim, investigation or regulatory obligation may require a longer period. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise or securely archive it.

7. Cookies and analytics

Statistical analytics are activated only where the website receives the required cookie permission. You can change or withdraw that choice through the cookie controls. Declining statistical cookies does not prevent you from reading the site or applying.

8. Security

We use access controls, secure accounts, encryption in transit, restricted staff access and operational procedures intended to protect personal data. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so suspected loss, misuse or unauthorised access should be reported promptly using the contact details above.

9. Your rights

Subject to Kenyan data-protection law, you may ask to access, correct, update, restrict, object to or delete personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent and request information about transfers or service providers.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

10. Applicants under 18

The current programme requires students to be at least 18 when it starts. If you are under 18 when completing an application, contact admissions before submitting personal information so that the appropriate guidance can be provided.

11. Questions and updates

Contact the institute using the details in section 1 if you have a privacy question or want to exercise a data-protection right. We may update this notice when our systems, programme or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will show the current version.
