We will confirm the pilot after enough qualified students have completed admissions and are ready to enrol. Reduzer Technologies Training Institute will request tuition only after the cohort is confirmed. If the institute later cancels the pilot before it starts, any pilot tuition already paid will be refunded in full, with the refund initiated within 14 calendar days of the cancellation notice.
What the pilot changes
Online delivery changes the timetable and support model.
The core learning outcomes, required work and instructor review remain in place. The way students attend, receive support and recover from interruptions is designed for online study.

A full weekday
You need the whole learning day.
This is not an evening or self-paced course. You will not stay on camera every minute. A published timetable will show the live sessions, review windows and focused project blocks for each phase, and you must remain available throughout the learning day.

Build, test, document and submit technical work during protected project blocks.

Before admission
We check the setup you will actually use.
These are Reduzer’s minimums for the first online pilot. If something is missing today, you may give a clear plan and completion date. Everything must be ready before onboarding.
Laptop
A dedicated 64-bit laptop with 16GB RAM, a 256GB SSD and at least 100GB free.
This is Reduzer’s minimum for the pilot. The laptop must run a current version of Windows 11, macOS or 64-bit Linux and allow development-tool installation.
Internet
At least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload from your normal study location.
The connection must also remain stable during video calls, screen sharing and project uploads. A ready backup should use a different provider where practical.
Power
At least four hours of backup for the laptop and internet equipment.
You may instead have a reliable alternative study location that you can use promptly during a longer outage.
Workspace
A working camera, microphone and headphones, plus a stable place to study.
You should not plan regular employment or other fixed responsibilities during programme hours.
Check your fit
Apply if the schedule and setup are realistic for you.
- You can keep Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, free for the programme.
- You ask for help early and communicate when you are blocked or disconnected.
- You are ready to show drafts, commits, tests, submissions and fixes.
- You have the required setup, or can complete it before onboarding.
Wait before applying if:
- You need part-time, evening, weekend or self-paced study.
- You plan to keep regular work during programme hours.
- You cannot yet make a workable laptop, internet, power and study-space plan.
Tuition
KSh 192,000
Three monthly payments of KSh 64,000. The fee and payment schedule are the same as the Kisii programme.
You provide your laptop, internet, power backup, workspace and living costs. Data use will vary with scheduled video, screen sharing, downloads and project uploads.
Programme status
The current software engineering programme is non-accredited skills training. It does not award a diploma or any TVET qualification. Any completion record confirms only that a student met the institute’s own programme requirements. It is not a diploma or an accredited qualification.

A conditional place does not confirm the cohort. The institute will request tuition only after the pilot has been confirmed.
Common questions
Before you apply
Is the online pilot self-paced?
No. It runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Students attend required sessions, complete work with the cohort and remain reachable during the learning day.
Will students stay on camera all day?
No. Camera use is required for scheduled instruction, reviews, assessments, teamwork and identity checks. Students must still be reachable and keep their work up to date.
Can I keep working while I study?
Do not plan regular work during programme hours. Work outside those hours must not affect attendance, rest or project delivery.
Can I take part while living outside Kenya?
No. Applicants must plan to take part from Kenya throughout the programme. The institute is not accepting applicants who will study from another country for this first pilot.
Is the institute or online pilot TVET accredited?
The name Reduzer Technologies Training Institute has been approved for use in the registration process. The institute is still completing TVET institution registration and accreditation and is not currently a TVET-accredited institution. The current software engineering programme is non-accredited skills training. It does not award a diploma or any TVET qualification. Any future TVET programme will use an approved curriculum and will be announced separately only after the required institution and programme approvals are complete.
What support will online students receive?
Students receive instructor review, learning follow-up and student success support. The onboarding process also covers the learning systems, communication channels and technical-readiness expectations.
What happens if the cohort does not run?
The institute will request tuition only after confirming that the cohort will run. If it later cancels the pilot before the start date, any pilot tuition already paid will be refunded in full, with the refund initiated within 14 calendar days of the cancellation notice.
